A new singing group is inviting people of all ages to join a relaxed, intergenerational series at the Museum in the Park in Stratford Park, Stroud.
Seasons of Life: Tuesday Morning Singing Series will run from 10.15am to 11.15am on seven dates: September 8, 15, 22 and 29, followed by October 6, 13 and 20, 2026. The sessions will take place in the museum’s Meeting Room.
A welcoming group for all ages
The group is run by Eleanor Holliday and will focus on seasonal folk songs. It is intended for people who already enjoy singing with others, as well as those who want to try singing for the first time.
The event information says there is no pressure to perform. People can attend alone or bring a baby, toddler or grandchild, with the series designed to bring different generations together. Song words will be displayed on a flipchart, so attendees are asked to have fairly good eyesight.
Booking is required
This is a pre-booked series, meaning drop-ins are not possible. The cost is £35, while accompanying children can attend free. Advance booking is available online or by calling the museum on 01453 763394.
Attendees are asked to bring a water bottle, with refills available from reception if needed. After each session, visitors can buy hot or cold drinks, cakes and snacks in the foyer café, or spend time exploring the museum and its walled garden.
