Work has formally started on a new Local Plan that will guide how Stroud district develops over the coming years.
The plan is expected to help determine where future homes, jobs and infrastructure could be located. However, no specific building locations have been decided at this stage.
What the plan will cover
The process will consider the district’s future development needs, including housing, employment and supporting infrastructure. The work is expected to take 30 months.
Residents and other interested parties should await further updates as the Local Plan process progresses and proposals become clearer.
