A botanical art workshop at the Museum in the Park in Stroud has sold out ahead of its summer session, with places no longer available for the event led by botanical artist Karen Green.

The workshop is scheduled for Tuesday 11 August 2026, from 10.30am to 1.30pm, at the museum in Stratford Park, Stratford Road, Stroud.

What the workshop offered

Participants were due to draw inspiration from the summer flowers in the Museum’s Walled Garden before creating a small botanical painting using pen and watercolour.

The morning was designed to cover observational drawing, traditional stippling techniques for pen work, layering watercolour and creating accurate colour mixes. Organisers said attendees would take home a botanical painting and new watercolour skills.

All materials were to be provided, and the session was open to adults of all abilities. The listed cost was £25, or £22 for concessions, with booking required.

Part of Park Life programme

The session is part of the “Park Life” exhibition programme organised by Stroud Artists Cooperative. The museum listing gave the venue address as Stratford Park, Stratford Road, Stroud, Gloucestershire, GL5 4AF.

Although this workshop is sold out, the listing advised prospective attendees to book online or call 01453 763394 when places are available for events. The Museum in the Park’s calendar remains the relevant source for checking other exhibitions, workshops and activities.
