Families in Stroud can get creative with the hidden life beneath their feet when the Museum in the Park hosts a Secret Nature drop-in craft workshop on Thursday, August 13, 2026.
The session will take place from 10.30am to 12.30pm at the Museum in the Park, Stratford Park, Stratford Road, Stroud. It is designed for families with children aged five and over.
What families can do
The workshop will explore the millions of tiny animals living in soil. Children will be invited to use colourful inks and crayons to create drawings of creatures inspired by microscopic life-forms that help keep soil healthy.
The activity will be led by community artist Alison Cockcroft. It is listed as part of the museum’s summer holiday programme and is intended as a relaxed drop-in session rather than a timed activity that families must book in advance.
Cost and attendance
Entry costs £1.50 per child, with the charge helping to cover materials. Accompanying adults can attend free of charge.
Families can drop in and pay at the door. The event will be held at the Museum in the Park, which is at Stratford Park, Stratford Road, Stroud, Gloucestershire, GL5 4AF.
