Families looking for a creative activity during the summer holidays can take part in a flower-themed workshop at the Museum in the Park in Stroud.
Flower Power – Family Drop-in Craft Activity will take place on Thursday 27 August 2026, from 10.30am to 12.30pm, at the Museum in the Park, Stratford Park, Stratford Road, Stroud.
What families can make
The session is inspired by the Victorians. Children can make a pressed-flower bookmark to take home or give as a gift.
If the weather is sunny, organisers will also try cyanotypes, described by the museum as the “magical art of printing with sunlight”.
The activity is intended for families with children aged five and over and is organised in collaboration with Stroud Valleys Project.
Cost and booking information
The workshop is a drop-in event, so families do not need to book in advance. Entry costs £1.50 per child to help cover the cost of materials, while accompanying adults can attend free.
There is space for around 10 children at a time. If the activity is busy when families arrive, the museum suggests taking part in a Museum Explorer trail while waiting.
The event is listed as part of the museum’s Summer Holiday programme.
