Jacob Pickering claimed victory in the 44th Stroud Half Marathon after more than 1,400 runners took to the streets on a sun-kissed but blustery Sunday.

Representing Cheltenham County Harriers, Pickering completed the race in a winning chip time of 1:09:30.6. Western Tempo’s Max Kelly finished second in 1:09:50.5, less than 20 seconds behind the winner.

Southville Running Club’s David Thurlbeck was third in 1:10:13.5, while CLC Striders veteran Rob Green completed the leading four with a time of 1:10:37.3. Stroud AC’s Liam Connolly finished sixth overall, recording 1:13:06.3.

Alice Tredgett leads the women’s field

Severn AC’s Alice Tredgett was the first female runner home. She finished 71st overall in a chip time of 1:24:17.1.

Dursley AC’s Robyn Jackson-Wait was the third female finisher, placing 92nd overall in 1:26:36.5. Thea Lowe was the first female Stroud AC runner across the line, finishing 174th overall in 1:31:56.9.

The published results also highlighted the range of running clubs represented in the field, including Cheltenham County Harriers, Western Tempo, Southville Running Club, CLC Striders, Stroud AC, Severn AC and Dursley AC.

Stroud 10K and Mini Mile results

The half marathon was accompanied by the Stroud 10K. Seven AC’s Ben Hope took first place in a chip time of 36:26.7, followed by Harry Bridges in 36:32.9. Stroud AC runner Georgie Greenwood finished third in 37:15.1.

The event also introduced the inaugural Mini Mile, giving younger runners a separate race. Toby Brooks won in 5:30.2, with Louis Tainton finishing second, followed by Oscar Terverni and Rosie Newns.

Fundraising and community support

Beyond the competitive results, the event raised funds for several organisations: The Door, Longfield Hospice, Sunflowers Suicide Support and Stroud District Foodbank.

Jordan Lansdown, founder of JLUXE, launched a new activewear range during the event to help raise funds and awareness for Longfield Hospice.

The race coverage was published on October 25, 2026, and included access to the full results as well as a gallery of 124 photographs by Matt Bigwood.

The event’s programme therefore combined the headline half marathon with the 10K and Mini Mile, while also providing a fundraising platform for charities and support organisations connected with the Stroud area.
