Stroud Valleys Artspace will host a late-night celebration of underground dance music when Jason Singh brings his “Oneness” club night to the venue on Saturday, September 12, 2026.
The event is scheduled to run from 9pm until 1am at SVA, 4 John Street, Stroud, GL5 2HA. It is strictly for people aged 18 and over.
A broad mix of underground sounds
“Oneness” is described as a club night focused on the deepest and finest in worldwide underground dance music culture. Its musical journey is set to draw on a broad range of traditions and styles, including reggae, jazz dance, hip hop, soul, disco, Afro-Cuban and Latin music.
The programme also reaches into spiritual house, broken beat, techno, UK garage, Asian underground, Eastern breaks, grime and drum and bass. The event is led by Singh as both DJ and beatboxer.
Who is Jason Singh?
Singh is described by SVA as a sound artist, nature beatboxer, producer, DJ, curator, facilitator and performer. His work is rooted in listening and takes a multi-sensory, cross-species approach to sound and music.
His creative work explores the natural world, the human voice and a wide range of music technologies. It includes live performance, immersive installations, studio recordings, film and theatre music, deep-listening and wellbeing experiences, sound walks, broadcasts, workshops, podcasts, soundtapes and immersive DJ sets.
His listed collaborations and commissions include work with the BBC, Yorkshire Sculpture Park, the V&A, the Earthshot Prize, WOMAD, Kew Gardens, Chester Zoo, SONOS, the BFI, the National Trust and Tate Britain. The event listing also names collaborations with musicians and artists including Nitin Sawhney, Yazz Ahmed, Shabaka Hutchings, George Ezra, Big Narstie, Talvin Singh and Rokia Traoré.

Tickets are available at £10, £12 or £15, with a “pay what you can” approach. The event listing says tickets can be bought through SVA.
