A much-loved family theatre show is returning to Stratford Park in Stroud next summer, with IKP Productions staging The Wonderful Wizard of Oz outdoors at the Museum in the Park.
The performance will take place on Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 12pm to 2pm. It follows the production’s sell-out success and will offer another comedy adventure based on L. Frank Baum’s classic book.
What to expect at the Stroud show
Audiences will follow Dorothy, the Tin Woodman, the Scarecrow, the Cowardly Lion and Toto as they meet munchkins, witches, winged monkeys, enchanted slippers and the Wonderful Wizard.
The adaptation is billed as a family comedy featuring physical humour, fast-paced multi-roling and plenty of laughs for all ages. The organisers also warn audiences to expect the unexpected during the outdoor performance.
Tickets and what to bring
Tickets cost £12 for adults and £10 for children and concessions. A family ticket costs £40 and admits four people, while an Early Bird ticket is available for £9.
Because the production is being staged outside, visitors are advised to bring rugs or camping chairs to sit on, along with clothing suitable for all weathers. Tickets can be booked online through the event listing.
