Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted in a suspected road-rage incident in Stroud.
The incident happened at around 6.20pm on Saturday 28 March, when a man was unloading his van in a lane off Marling Close in Amberley. Police said the driver of a car shouted and swore at him, apparently because the van was blocking the road.
The unknown man then got out of the car and tried to remove air from the tyres of the van before physically assaulting the victim. The victim required treatment at hospital.
Police description of the suspect
The suspect got back into a dark-coloured car and drove away. The vehicle was described as similar in shape to an Audi A3.
Police described the suspect as a tall white man in his early 50s, with a large build and mousy brown hair thinning on top. He was reportedly wearing a red or burgundy-coloured jumper, blue jeans and brown or tan-coloured boots.
How to help the investigation
A number of people were in the area at the time, and detectives are asking anyone who witnessed what happened to come forward. Police are also seeking relevant CCTV or dashcam footage that could help identify the man or establish what happened.
