Stonehouse town centre will become a showcase for local and regional food when the free eat:Stonehouse food festival returns on Sunday 16 August 2026.
The festival will run from 10am to 4pm and is described as a family-friendly, accessible event. Organisers say visitors can expect more than 70 food and drink makers, including local growers, farmers’ market and deli favourites, brewers, bakers, orchardists, roasters, treat-food sellers and street-food traders.
What visitors can expect
Alongside the food stalls, the event will feature music, entertainers and activities for families. The organisers say there will be a wide choice of food and drink, including gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian and alcohol-free options.
Entry is free, and the event listing says the festival is intended to offer an opportunity for people to meet friends while discovering new producers. Visitors who want more room and the first choice of products are advised to arrive early.
Supporting producers and local businesses
eat:Festivals says most of the participating producers are based within a 30-mile radius. The not-for-profit social enterprise says its festivals are designed to connect communities with the productive landscape around them, while supporting local businesses, food producers and families.
The event is being presented as a low-cost opportunity for producers to attend, with the organisers stating that this helps money go back into local businesses and their communities.
