A drinks producer based near Stroud has joined forces with Highgrove to create a new range of botanical cordials inspired by the gardens surrounding the Gloucestershire residence of King Charles III and Queen Camilla.
bottlegreen and Highgrove have launched three garden-inspired flavours, bringing together two Cotswolds names located only a few miles apart. bottlegreen’s longstanding factory is at Frogmarsh Mill in South Woodchester, near Stroud, while Highgrove’s 15-acre organic gardens are in Tetbury.
The collaboration was reported on Wednesday 14 October 2026. It has a charitable purpose as well as a local business connection: 25p from every bottle sold will support the charitable work of The King’s Foundation.
Three flavours inspired by Highgrove
The new collection includes Magnolia and Elderflower, English Rose and Raspberry, and Rhubarb and Ginger. Each cordial is presented in an illustrated bottle and draws on features of the gardens at Highgrove.
The inspiration developed during a walking tour of Highgrove Gardens by bottlegreen flavour expert Lynne McAlpine. Magnolia in blossom, elderflower bushes around the gardens and an impressive rhubarb patch in the kitchen garden all helped shape the range. The roses in the king’s courtyard also influenced the collection, giving the English Rose and Raspberry flavour a direct link to one of Highgrove’s recognised garden features.
The drinks are made in small batches using spring water from bottlegreen’s original mill and traditional winemaking methods. The English Rose and Raspberry cordial combines British raspberry juice with fragrant English rose extract. The Rhubarb and Ginger variety uses pressed British rhubarb juice alongside warming ginger, a combination described as suitable for autumn entertaining.
How the cordials can be served
The cordials are intended to be enjoyed with either still or sparkling water. bottlegreen also says they can be used to add what it describes as a botanical flourish to spritzes, cocktails and alcohol-free drinks.
They can be served simply over ice or dressed with fruit for a more elaborate drink. The range is available now from Waitrose, priced at £4.99 per bottle.
Supporting The King’s Foundation
The King’s Foundation supports sustainable communities through practical education, traditional skills training and regeneration projects. Its work includes heritage and craft courses at Highgrove itself.
The partnership therefore links a product made close to Stroud with the gardens in Tetbury that inspired its flavours, while directing part of each sale towards the foundation’s wider charitable work.
