Police are appealing for information to help find Amber, a missing 58-year-old woman who is known to visit Rodborough Common. Officers have said they are concerned for her welfare after she was last seen in Gloucester.
Amber was last seen at around 7.15am on Friday, 9 October. Police said she had left an address on Winnycroft Lane in a blue Citroën Berlingo. The car has blue and yellow flowers on the dashboard, a detail officers have included to help people identify it.
Description of Amber
Amber is described as 5ft 6ins tall and has medium-length brown hair that is turning grey. She wears glasses and uses a walking stick.
At the time of the appeal, police believed she was wearing a knitted jumper and brown trousers. She may also be accompanied by her black Labrador dog.
Places she may visit
Police say Amber is known to visit Rodborough Common, making the Stroud-area landmark an important location for anyone who may have seen her or her vehicle. Officers also said she is known to visit the Tuffley area.
The appeal is relevant to people travelling around Rodborough and nearby parts of the Stroud area, as well as anyone who may have information from Gloucester or Tuffley. People are asked to consider whether they have seen Amber, the blue Citroën Berlingo or a woman matching the description with a black Labrador.
How to contact police
Anyone who has seen Amber or her car, or who has information about where she may be, is asked to call police on 101. Callers should quote incident number 53260087548 so the information can be linked to the appeal.
If Amber is seen while someone is making the call, police have asked them to dial 999 and ask for police. The emergency number should therefore be used when she is being seen at that time, rather than for information received separately.
The appeal was reported by Stroud Times on October 10. The supplied report identifies Amber by her first name and gives the last-seen time, location, vehicle details and possible destinations to assist the search.
