Police are appealing for the public’s help to find two 13-year-old girls who have been reported missing and are believed to be together in Gloucester town centre.
Officers said there are concerns for the girls’ welfare, and searches are continuing to locate them. The appeal concerns Liddy, who was reported missing from the Forest of Dean on the afternoon of Saturday, October 17, and Summer, who was reported missing from the Stroud area on the evening of Friday, October 16.
Police now believe the two girls are together in Gloucester town centre. The appeal does not give a confirmed time or precise location for when they may have been there, so members of the public are being asked to remain alert and pass on any relevant information.
Descriptions of the missing girls
Liddy is described as 5ft 1ins tall and of slim build, with long brown hair. Police believe she may be wearing the burgundy hoodie shown in the appeal image.
Summer is described as around 4ft 9ins tall and also of slim build, with long brown hair. When she was last seen, she was wearing black leggings, a black T-shirt, a grey jacket and white Crocs.
The girls are believed to have a pink shopping bag with them. Police have released the descriptions to help people recognise them and provide information that could assist the search.
How to contact police
Anyone who has seen Liddy or Summer, or who has information about where they may be, is asked to contact police on 101.
If someone can see either girl at the time they are calling, police have asked them to dial 999 instead. This is so officers can respond to a potential sighting immediately.
The appeal was reported by Stroud Times on October 18, 2026. At the time of publication, searches were ongoing and police had not confirmed a precise sighting location or time in Gloucester town centre.
