Families in Stroud can step back in time this summer when the Museum in the Park hosts a free morning of traditional games and historic toys at Stratford Park.
Toys & Games of the Past will take place on Friday, 7 August 2026, from 10.30am to 12.30pm at the museum on Stratford Road. The session is designed as hands-on family entertainment, with visitors invited to explore and play with some of the oldest toys in the world.
What visitors can do
The activity will offer the chance to discover games played by previous generations, try traditional games and handle toys from the past. Hopscotch is among the activities highlighted by the organisers, giving families an opportunity to enjoy screen-free play together.
