Families in Stroud can explore fossils, dinosaur bones and historic toys for free this summer, as Museum in the Park launches its Family Explorer Trails.
The trails will be available at reception from 11am on Saturday 18 July until 4pm on Monday 31 August 2026. The event takes place at Museum in the Park, Stratford Park, Stratford Road, Stroud, Gloucestershire, GL5 4AF.
What visitors can expect
The self-guided trails are designed for all ages and encourage families to discover the museum’s collections together. Along the way, visitors can learn about the fascinating history of Stroud District while looking more closely at objects including fossils, dinosaur bones and childhood toys from the past.
Entry to the explorer trails is free. Donations are appreciated, according to the museum calendar listing. The activity is posted as part of the museum’s summer holiday programme.
